Arendsig Single Vineyard Chardonnay Block: A15 2016

Soil:
Calcareous, loam, Karoo shale

Climate:
Macro climate is Mediterranean, Meso-climate is influenced by everyday South Eastern breeze during summer, morning fog in winter, big variation in  day & night temperatures in summer, Langeberg and Riviersonderend Mountain range and Breede River.

Location of vineyard:
Between Langeberg and Riviersonderend Mountain range, East facing slope above the banks of the Breede River, South in the Robertson Wine Valley, Wakkerstroom Wes, R317, Arendsig Farm.

Nose:
Citrus, Green Apple, with hints of tropical tones
Pallet:
Fresh mineral,  rich, round, long lingering mouthfeel
Maturation:
2 x 5000 L French oak, fourth fill, Foudrè casks for 10 months on the lees.
Cases produced: 2100 x 6

Ph: 3.18 TA: 7.4 Vol: 14.11%; VSO2: 20 mg/l; TSO2: 115 mg/l; RS: 5.3 g/l
