Arendsig Cabernet Sauvignon Block A9 2016

Soil:
Calcareous, loam, Karoo shale

Climate:
Macro climate is Mediterranean. Meso-climate is influenced by everyday South Easter during summer and morning fog in winter with big variations in day/night temperatures.

Location of vineyard:
Between the Langeberg and Riviersonderend Mountain range, West facing slope above the banks of the Breede Rivier, South in the Robertson Wine Valley, Wakkerstroom Wes, R317, Arendsig Farm


Nose:
Savoury mint, berries and plums
Pallet:
Full and rich tannins. Fruity and structured on the mid pallet
Maturation:
10 Months Foudre Casks followed by 3 months in neutral, 225L barrels
